Yes,
regarding the article, Along the Yellow Brick Road: What we did right, tips for forming generous soulcare communities.
I have a couple concerns that I would love the author to respond to:
1. What does she believe Paul meant when he wrote to the church in Corinth regarding Holy Communion that people should "...not eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in a way that isn’t worthy of him. If you do, you will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. A person should take a careful look at himself before he eats the bread and drinks from the cup. Anyone who eats and drinks must recognize the body of the Lord. If he doesn’t, God will judge him for it."?
2. Can she please help clarify what is meant by stating “Well, not everyone is sure exactly who Jesus is, but everyone is getting closer to God.” in light of Jesus's own words “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."?
I am an open minded, 27 year old church planting missionary who totally digs this entire emerging church movement. For years I knew that I did not fit in with either the traditional fundamentalist or seeker sensetive/driven movements and now I know why...I'm a postmodern person and both of those models are very modern. I say this to clarify that these two issues are being raised by a sympathetic person from within our movement and not from a critic of it.
thank you,
Gary Fox
