To some He’s known as Something
Existing distantly someplace or somewhere.
He’s the One they cry to,
When they desperately need Someone to care.

To others He’s Somebody
We call upon sometime or someday
It’s usually when our lives are on fire
We seek His help to rescue us, somehow or someway

For many He is Somewhat
Just a partial notion of what we think we need
Something we must have to soothe us
Someway to anesthetize the falsehood of our self-sufficiency and greed

In this poem this Something is
Someone much more than those above proclaim.
He’s intimate and personal, you’ll never be the same
He’s the One they’re looking for, Jesus is His name

He lives and reigns in all of sometime
Every dimension of each ordinary someday
He’s the sole source of living truth
The provider of the somehow, the cause of the someway

His love for us so passionate
He’s not content with someplace or somewhere
He makes His home inside of us
He’s not the God whose something resides “out there.”

Wonderful, Almighty, Savior and Counselor
The Someone who was crucified, then resurrected without a trace
The only One in history whoever triumphed over the grave
The only Somebody who returned to us, to reveal his wounds, His voice, His face

This One Jesus that I speak of
The Creator of all place, where, time and day
The One true God of all of it
The Provider of all thing, what, how and way

From insignificance to celebrity
The shortest to the tall
This Jesus He is everything
The AweSum Author of it all
